Farnham
This was a home spa comprising of a sauna, steam room, power shower, Jacuzzi and large bath. The project consisted of installing thin porcelain tiles to all walls and floors with one mosaic wall. Tiles were supplied by Casa Ceramica. There was one large feature wall with a striking book-matched pattern. A variety of tile sizes were used from 1.6x1.6m- 3.2x1.6m. I also clad a vanity unit from the tiles with mitred edges.
Fulham
This was an entrance to a town house in Fulham. Before I arrived the staircase was leaking, weathered and generally rundown. The first stage of the job was to waterproof the steps prior to tiling. I then gave the staircase a considerable upgrade with an impressive combination of slate tiles and Victorian mosaics.
Soho
This was a project consisting of 6 high-end residential apartments in the heart of central London. Each flat had one or two wet rooms. The tiles specified were book matched thin porcelain, 1.5x3m. This job was nominated for Tile Association Award (winner TBA) and was completed by myself in a supervisory capacity, as part of a team of installers from Arrow Tiling. It required a great deal of planning to keep the book matched element where possible, and considerable organisation of to ensure the installation was completed on time.
Mansfield Street-central London
This was a showpiece floor created from thin porcelain tiles. I worked alone with one labourer to create this masterpiece, piece by piece, from the designer’s drawings. It took a great deal of planning and setting out and the ability to understand very detailed plans from the designers.
